Land en Boschzigt, the oldest biodynamic market garden in our country, is located near Hilversum. Vegetables, fruit and herbs have been grown here since 1947. The garden is located on one of the 's-Graveland estates, hidden among the woods. Years of care have made the poor sandy soil here fertile. Together with the sheltered location, the conditions are ideal for the cultivation of fine crops, such as beans, pumpkins and carrots. And between the crops there is plenty of room for wildflowers from early spring to autumn. This book shows how small-scale agriculture is practiced at the Land en Boschzigt market garden, with respect for nature. Dedicated gardeners work the land and harvest the crops with great care and attention. Heavy machines are not required, but a good dose of patience and a well-developed feeling for what the soil and the crop need. Meet these special people, who work the land with heart and soul and maintain close contact with the earth. Their passion and hard work are visible in every corner of the garden.
